We are less than 30 minutes from all Glen Rose attractions and shopping, including our favorites:
Escape the everyday, and explore the rugged beauty of Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. Amidst the live oak thickets, limestone outcroppings, and stands of juniper; nestled away in the rustic hills of Somervell County.
Dinosaur Valley State Park
Long ago, dinosaurs left footprints in the mud at the edge of an ancient ocean. Today, you can walk in their tracks in the bed of the Paluxy River. This long trip to the past is just a short drive from Fort Worth.
Located in three of your families favorite travel destinations, you’ll find the world’s largest collection of life size dinosaurs fun to explore.

Barnard's Mill Gallery
From humble beginnings as a water powered grist mill in 1860 to a steam powered burr mill; sold for $10 and turned into a cotton gin in 1895, a health spa with mineral waters, then a hospital and clinic and today a Historical Mill and Art Museum. A powerful and colorful history for this classic landmark. Still standing and beckoning visitors in the 21st century.
Heritage Park and river walk along the Paluxy
Across the River from the town square in Glen Rose is the Paluxy Heritage Park. A final resting place for several historic dwellings from an earlier time in Somervell County, they have a log home, an early stone home, an early school house, and several other historic structures. Paluxy Heritage Park is a great place to relax, or to freshen up.
A must stop if visiting Glen Rose, pies are out if this world good. We had the buttermilk as recommended by fellow Yelpers and all I can say is that after the first bite the hubs just said "If this is a piece of heaven, I'm ready to go, Jesus please take me now!!"
